We feel extremely lucky to have a community that includes neighbors like Andrew Janjigian, author of the this little pocket guide to bread baking. We've been friendly with Andrew since he popped into our shop a few years back. Then an editor at Cook's Illustrated (and their in house bread guru) he shot to Instagram @wordloaf fame during the pandemic, inspiring home bakers to dip their toes into sourdough.
He's working on a traditional bread baking cookbook, but in the meantime this little guide packs a punch. The 32 page illustrated booklet is filled with useful info like basic bread formulas, weight to measurement conversions for common ingredients, and tips to help you improve your bread baking.
It's the kind if simple reference guide you'll find yourself grabbing a in a pinch, destined for dough-stained glory in your pantry. It's small but mighty. Illustrated throughout with pen and ink drawings by Johanna Kindvall.
